#non dd #lizard #or freakAyda Aguefort from Dimension 20's Fantasy High: Sophmore Year faces Bowser Jr. from SUper Mario Bros. Who do you like more?
Ayda Propaganda:
"She is a black, autistic, lesbian, half-phoenix wizard and I love her with all my heart. She means the world to me."
Bowser Jr. Propaganda:
"Like a son to me <3"
some of you need to make your bed and have a shower with a soap that smells nice, and then sit in a chair near the window and have tea with milk and read a hardcover book and see how your creative block is after that tbh.
i'm not saying creative block isn't a real or difficult phenomenon. i'm saying creatives have a tendency to neglect themselves physically and emotionally in favor of manic bursts of productivity. a little softness and clean sheets and a bagel will go a long way. make a playlist and light the fancy candle you've been saving for a special occasion. life is a special occasion.
Always a good reminder.
"You felt guilt for the quality of my life?"
"I mean, how could I not? I'm a living embodiment of someone betraying you."
"I'm going to turn my life around and I've been failing you, and that's over now."
I've touched on this conversation, but this exchange, in the Fantasy High Sophomore Year episode "Hellbound", goes a long way towards explaining how Fig acts around her (adopted) father and how he views her. All the rest of the characters treat Gilear with a sort of amused pity, but Fig has always treated him with compassion. Before season one began, Gilear had already moved out after Fig's demonic parentage was revealed, but Fig's reaction always came off as teen rebellion and anger at her mom rather than deep-seated self-loathing. She loves him as her father and works tirelessly to help him get better in a fucked-up, self-imposed penance for a sin she didn't commit.
And the fact that Gilear never even considered thinking about Fig that way is beautiful. It never occurred to him to blame the young woman he raised (for all intents and purposes, his daughter) for the misfortune in his life, the moment he called her a "demon" before the series began obviously something he deeply regrets that he never repeats. He's delighted (if not surprised) when she moves into Strongtower Luxury Appartments with him and does what he can to provide for her and her friends. He's supportive of her (especially her relationship with Ayda, which he notes is infinitely more healthy than her weird relationship at the hospital) and sacrifices himself to save her. She always comes first for him.
Who would you pick to be your second in a duel?
only child
oldest child
middle child
youngest child
that one friend who is at your house so often they’re part of the family
